40+ days, 5 lbs and toned muscles–still loving it, November 8, 2008

Wii fit is great since it motivates, tracks progress, is fun and works! I’m 48 and the mother of 3 grown kids. I was in average shape for my age when I started. I’ve used it over 35 days of the last 40 (I know because I can check). I’ve lost 5 lbs and am noticeably more toned. I enjoy the variety. As others have said, the balance activities make a nice break, but they still definitely help develop core muscles. Sometimes I’ll start the day with aerobics and do some balance or yoga before bed. Other days I’ll use it for an hour using all 4 categories.

Until people use it, they think it can’t really be exercise. Try it, you will understand that it can provide a great workout. I still do other things to exercise, but Wii fit is something I look forward to doing every day.

Wii Fit…Incredible, November 6, 2008

If I had been told that the Wii Fit would occasionally make me sweat, I would have thought someone were joking. (That may or may not be a good reflection on my fitness level, but anywho….)

This is a great way to reintroduce fitness into a busy schedule. I don’t think it can completely replicate fitness one would get in a gym session (for now…I’m still getting used to it), but it would be a great compliment to other forms of exercise (walking, jogging,e.g.)

It could be good to use for physical therapy if one injures their leg or arm–but I would avoid some of the more strenous activities.

It is a MUST buy if you have a Wii!

I tried it out before it was released at the Nintendo Store when I was in NYC and knew I had to have one. I went to Meijer at 11 p.m. the night before it was released and waiting an hour for the midnight release to be sure I owned one.

It has some great yoga exercises and the balance board is great for keeping track of your weight and BMI and setting goals. The games are a lot of fun and a lot of variety in the training exercises.

News : Rock Band 2 for Wii Official site shows delayed until 2009

Just would like to update to my fan. The official Rock Band site now lists a new, and delayed, January 2009 release date for the Wii version of Rock Band 2.

The Rock Band brand, already in some hot water with NIntendo Wii owners after a late to the game feature lacking port in 2007, won’t be winning anybody back if a Rock Band 2 delay listed on the game’s official web site comes to light. Other retail sites still list Rock Band 2 for the Wii with a November 16 and 17 release date. They include Amazon, Best Buy, Gamestop, and Walmart.
